JIMS organised MDP on the topic “Data Science using R” from 4th Dec,2019 to 7th Dec ,2019 with the aim of focussing and imparting hands-on-training on today’s cutting-edge data science and analytic techniques.
Ms. Suman Madan, Faculty-MCA department, explained the concepts of big data, data science and machine learning to participants. The session was carried forward by Mr. Sunny Seth, Faculty- Management Department, who gave useful insights on the Basics of R, Working with data, Data Visualisation and statistics with R.
Ms. Ankita Chopra, Faculty-MCA department, discussed Machine learning Classification Models and Algorithms like Decision Tree, random forest and Neural Network. This session was then carried forward by Ms. Suman Madan who discussed time-series and sentimental analysis as major uses in data science projects.
Participants from companies like CHRYSO, RBS, STEFAB-India, NTT Data etc and academicians from various institutions of Delhi-NCR came for this MDP. It was an very enriching experience and all participants actively completed the hands-on training tasks
