Admission Process of PGDM | PGDM - International Business (IB) & PGDM - Retail Management (RM) Programs

Admission to the autonomous programs namely PGDM, PGDM (IB) and PGDM (RM) from JIMS which is consider as one of the Best PGDM College is done on the basis of following four parameters

  • *As per AICTE norms, Minimum three years Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate*
  • Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in cancellation of admission.

Selection Procedure

Final selection will be made on the basis of CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT Score past academic Performance, Personal Interview and Group Discussion score.

Note: IIM’s & Xavier have no role either in selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Process

The admission process is designed to identify and select candidates with the potential to excel in our rigorous PGDM programme. This comprehensive process ensures that we admit individuals who are not only academically capable but also poised to contribute meaningfully to our dynamic learning environment.

Resume Screening

Applicants will be screened based on their competitive examination scores, past academic performances and Professional Experience if any Scores of at least on of the following competitive exams should be submitted

  • GMAT
  • MAT
  • XAT
  • CMAT
  • ATMA

Personal Interview
& Essay

Selected candidates will be called on campus for an interview where their Professionalism, Knowledge, Communication, Awareness and Vision will be assessed.

They Essay will tell us about the candidate’s written communication skills and knowledge.

Group Discussion

The Next step is a Group Discussion where students will divided into groups and given a topic to debate and discuss. This allows to assess the Leadership, Communication Skills and Clarity of thought.

Parameters

The admission process evaluates candidates across multiple parameters, with weightage distributed among them. This holistic approach ensures a wellrounded assessment, emphasising both academic potential and interpersonal skills.
