The training session was conducted by Mrs. Vandana Narang which was based on Goal Setting and Getting Things Done, for its MCA students.
There are a lot of hurdles that come into one’s life, but a happy and successful person is the one who overcomes them all and achieves their “GOAL”.
There are 4 P’s for setting up a goal in life, and they are:
- POSITIVE
- PERSONAL
- POSSIBLE
- PRIORITIZE
They help in living a career-oriented life. Other aspects of achieving one’s goals are:
- Focusing on achievements
- Positive Phrasing
- Being specific
These three things fill your life with joy and success.
Some important points to keep one motivated are:-
- Try to find your Peak moments
- Writing down goals
- Using Gamification “Motivation makes a path to success”.
Always accept your mistakes, in that way you become a mistake less person. As Bruce Lee said and I quote:-
“Mistake is always forgivable if one has the courage to admit them”
She encouraged us to have smart goals. She used SMART as the abbreviation for as follows: S – Specific
M – Measurable A – Attainable
R – Realistic T – Timely
And to make them smarter! E – Evaluate
R – Reasoning
The training session was very interactive and positive. We learned how to manage and organize our to-do list, our goals, how much time management is crucial in our lives and how by having smarter goals we can actually achieve them and improve our self-esteem and become better humans. Also, we learned that to become people of special worth in the society, we need to have specific goals and not generalized ones, and that the words “cannot”, “could not”, “should” must escape from our dictionary if we really wish to achieve the goals we aspire for.
