Computer Society of India, Delhi Chapter and Jagan Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi organized CSI foundation day on 6th March 2019 at JIMS Rohini. Session was chaired by CSI Delhi Chapter Chairman Mr V K Gupta who gave a welcome address and explained about the CSI foundation day. Prof K K Aggarwal, Chairman NBA (former Chancellor- Kumar Mangalam University and former vice-chancellor GGSIPU) was the Chief Guest of the event. Chief Guest Dr K K Aggarwal highlighted the importance of professional courses at university level and appreciated the role of Computer Society of India in the country. He also shared his experiences with various universities in the process of establishing and designing professional courses. Keynote speaker of the session Dr. Anup Gridhar focussed on various cyber threats and attacks in current scenario.
An important part of the evening was cultural performances by students of different student branches. Eight teams from different college participated and performed on the theme “The impact of Social Media on Society”. Mr. SivaKumar, Dr. Vinay Kumar and Dr. A.K. Saini judged and evaluated student’s performance. First, Second and Third prizes are bagged by VIPS, JIMS and GTBIT respectively. Winning student branches were awarded with cash prizes. All participants of the event were awarded with the certificates.
This session closed with a formal vote of thanks presented by Hon secretary of CSI Delhi Chapter Mr Akshay Kumar.
