IP Department of JIMS organized “Health Awareness Series –V on “Healthy Lifestyle: In Pursuit to Fight Cancer” on 15th January 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Session started with the welcome address by Dr Praveen Arora, Dean – IPU affiliated programs, who formally introduced and welcomed the distinguished speakers. She also highlighted the importance of such awareness events and active role of JIMS organizing these awareness campaigns. Dr Anshuman Kumar started his session with a general discussion on health and healthy habits. He very effectively established the role played by five basic elements as important cause for good health. In this highly interactive session he conveyed the importance of healthy habits in decreasing the probability of deadly diseases. Dr Kumar also shared his experiences of treating cancer patients and strongly recommended a healthy lifestyle. Dr Puneet Ahluwalia in his presentation completely focussed on causes and cure of different types of cancer. He also apprised the audience about different types of diagnostic techniques used for its early detection. Audience comprising of students of BBA was highly appreciative of this session. Session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Bhawna Galhotra.
