PGDM-RM Students from JIMS Rohini Excel in National-Level Marketing Challenge
The students of PGDM Retail Management (Batch 2025–2027) from Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini, Sector-5, showcased their marketing acumen and persuasive prowess at “Markeit”, a national-level sales competition organized by NIT Kurukshetra.
Representing JIMS Rohini, the dynamic duo Kashish Dhamija and Unnati Adlakha, competing as Team “The Maverick”, demonstrated creativity, confidence, and strategy throughout the event. Their journey began on October 26, 2025, with an online quiz round testing participants’ knowledge of marketing concepts, sales strategies, and consumer behavior. After clearing the first round with commendable scores, they advanced to the on-campus finals at NIT Kurukshetra, held on October 29, 2025.
Where Strategy Met Salesmanship
The vibrant campus of NIT Kurukshetra came alive as management students from across the country gathered for this high-energy sales challenge. “Markeit” provided a platform for young marketers to put theory into action—testing their ability to think on their feet, understand customers, and close deals under pressure.
In the final round, each team was given ten identical dummy products and tasked with selling them to thirty-five potential buyers within a limited time frame. Success depended not just on the number of sales but on creativity, adaptability, and effective communication.
Team The Maverick impressed everyone with their strategic and customer-centric approach. They began by analyzing buyer psychology and tailoring pitches to suit different customer needs. Their seamless coordination—where one member engaged and demonstrated the product while the other managed pricing and negotiation—reflected professionalism and teamwork at its best.
Turning Ideas into Impact
Out of 22 participating teams, Team The Maverick secured an impressive 3rd place, generating total sales worth ?10,300. Their effort was highly appreciated by the judges for innovative selling, persuasive communication, and real-world marketing application.
Beyond winning accolades, the competition offered students an invaluable experiential learning opportunity. It helped them understand how emotional intelligence, persuasion, and adaptability drive success in competitive marketing environments. For Kashish and Unnati, the event was more than just a contest—it was a live classroom, testing their ability to blend analytical thinking with practical execution.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The success of the JIMS Rohini team at “Markeit” reflects the institute’s commitment to experiential learning and holistic management education. Events like these help students translate their classroom learning into actionable business insights and sharpen the essential skills that define future marketing leaders—innovation, communication, and teamwork.
The participation and success of PGDM-RM students at national platforms continue to reinforce JIMS Rohini’s vision of nurturing industry-ready professionals equipped to thrive in dynamic business landscapes.
