Idea generation to resolve social/business problems requires a conducive ecosystem. In its continuous efforts to encourage entrepreneurial mindset among students by providing the right environment, JIMS Rohini organized an inspiring session by Ms. Shivani Meta, Co-founder of Daakroom. The session provided a creative platform celebrating the art of handwritten communication and fostering human connections in the digital age.
Ms. Mehta shared her entrepreneurial story, talking to the students vividly about the challenges, risks, and milestones of building a start-up from scratch. She spoke about the importance of identifying a unique problem, staying true to one’s vision, and innovating with purpose.
Her journey with Daakroom highlighted how passion, persistence, and creativity can transform a simple idea into a meaningful venture. She also emphasised the value of teamwork, resourcefulness, and resilience in navigating uncertainties of the start-up ecosystem. For aspiring entrepreneurs, the session offered practical lessons—ranging from pitching to investors, managing with limited resources, to building a brand that connects emotionally with its audience. She encouraged students to embrace failures as stepping stones and to remain curious, adaptable and committed in their pursuit.
The session was an engaging blend of storytelling and mentorship. It left all participants motivated to explore entrepreneurship not just as a career option but as a mindset of problem-solving through innovation.
