JIMS, Rohini organised an Industrial visit for the students of PGDM (First Year) on 13th September 2025 to visit RG Industries – Indo Hi Tech Appliances Ltd., an esteemed OEM manufacturer located in Sonepat, Haryana. Indo Hi Tech is a key supplier to top consumer appliance brands like Crompton, Havells, Orient, Surya, and Anchor. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to real-time manufacturing systems, production planning, and quality management practices.
Guided by the Quality Head, students explored each stage of the production process,from raw material testing, sheet fabrication, and seven-stage pre-treatment to advanced polymer coating, insulation, assembly, and multi-layered quality checks. They also observed the manufacturing of storage and instant water heaters, immersion heating elements, press parts, and seasonal air coolers, gaining insights into how large-scale facilities balance production capacity with actual market demand.
The visit also offered a managerial perspective on costing structures, client partnerships, and the strategic role of an OEM model in serving multiple renowned brands. Students were inspired by the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and managerial functions within one plant and understood how precision, quality, and ethical resource management drive long-term business growth.
This immersive industrial exposure was an eye-opening experience that enriched students’ understanding of real-world business ecosystems and strengthened their industry readiness.
