Inaugural Session
JIMS, Rohini hosted its Orientation Program from 1 st July -5 th July 2025 to welcome the new batch 2025-27 of PGDM, PGDM IB and PGDM RM students with an objective to ease the transition of first-year students into the rigorous academic life of business school which may further leads to strengthen their skills, foster interpersonal relationships and plant the seeds of comprehensive self-development. The week included lessons on topics like mental awareness, time management, team building, case study analysis, and personal branding in order to facilitate this.
The orientation program officially began on July 1st with the traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. The session started with an opening address and a welcome note by Dr. Pooja Jain to the faculty, students and guests of honour. Dr. Jain briefed about the institute, its vision and mission, history and ranking of the institute along with recent achievements and how the faculty and staff members of the college will help students to take the right path and guide them. Dr. Harshavardhan Halve, Director General addressed the students with a key advise that students learning is not only based on scores but also on how they express themselves freely.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Dr. Kiran Bedi, India's first and only woman IPS officer, former Lt. Governor of Puducherry, and Founder of India Vision Foundation and Navjyoti India Foundation. Her address won over the audience with life lessons and a powerful message of determination, self-discipline, and leadership. Dr. Bedi delivered her orientation remarks, emphasizing the importance of discipline in a student’s life. By setting a thoughtful and inspiring tone for the event she emphasized the pivotal role that discipline plays in shaping a student’s life and future. Highlighting discipline as the foundation of academic success and personal growth, She encouraged students to cultivate consistency, focus, and self-control in their daily lives.
Mr. Pratyush Rahul, Group Manager & Chief of Staff - HR, Tech Mahindra BPS as an Industry expert joined us and spoke to the students with profound experience from the
corporate world. He emphasized the need for employability skills, flexibility, and emotional quotient, substantiating them with practical examples from the IT and BPS industries. His speech was a call in no uncertain terms to the students to prepare themselves from day one itself for industry leadership positions.
One of our esteemed Alumni Mr, Pranab Mohanty Chief Business Officer, Data Safeguard, and spoke about his career and has set an excellent example of possibilities available to JIMS with hard work . commitment and an attitude to learn. His talk was centered on how JIMS path led him to success. He emphasized on significance of experiential learning and internship with learning agility in the modern tech business environment .
Diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds of students enthusiastically flocked to hear from distinguished speakers who would inspire them and point them in the direction of their professional advancement.
