JIMS Rohini Organized SWADHEENTA The Literary and Dramatic Society

SWADHEENTA organised and hosted by the literary and Dramatics Society of PGDM marked the celebration of 78th Independence Day of India.

A variety of performances honouring India's freedom fighters and also giving a reflection of modern-day freedom made the slick event a big success.

Mesmerizing flute performance by Aditya Sahoo, a poem dedicated to the parents of freedom fighters by Komal Agarwal and another by Faquer-ul-Imam praising the triumphs of our freedom fighters set a spirited beginning to the hour-long event.

Aryan Khandelwal too recited a poem on Modern Day Freedom. Om Gupta followed it with a speech while Salamat Hussain and then Hina gave poetic tributes to our freedom fighters. A creative storytelling by Keshav Trivedi and Priyanshu Agarwal was captivating as they conversed on the experiences of our freedom fighters. A very confident Meghali Dubey delivered a speech bringing out the contrast between the struggle for national independence and Modern Day Freedom.

Roshan gave a beautiful tribute to our freedom fighters via Shayari. Srija Sakshi, Aditi Priya and Shivam Soni too shared their thoughts on Modern Day Freedom through poetry. The student contributions ended with Kashish, who passionately recited a poem written by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji and brought to fore its relevance in current times.

A befitting end to the event was the recitation of ‘Jhansi ki rani’ (Subhadra Kumari Chauhan) by Dr. Pratima Daipuria, Dean PGDM.

The event showcased the praiseworthy organizing and hosting skills of Nikita Malhotra, Saloni Khushi, Annu Singla and Riya Nath – the office bearers of the Literary and Dramatics Society.
