JIMS Rohini organized training programme on ‘Managing Conflicts and Ethical Behaviour at Workplace’ for over fifty managers of Punjab & Sind Bank, Delhi from 25th December, 2019 to 28th December,2019 .The session began with the welcome address by Dr.Pooja Jain, Director, JIMS, Rohini. She welcomed the participants and told about the theme of workshop and how it can benefit them. Later Dr. Fareed Ahmad, ED, P&S Bank gave his inaugural address, in which he explained how such training programmes can help the employees in their career growth and that such programmes shall be regularly organized on voluntary basis for the staff and officers of PSB. He gave introduction of each session topic and asked participants to make maximum use of the opportunity.
The programme was conducted in three sessions. The first session was on ’Leadership that Matters’ and was conducted by
Dr. Pratima Daipuria, Dean – Management and Professor, JIMS. She explained the topics of emotional intelligence, group behaviour and change management through various activities and games. Post tea, second session was on ‘Managing Conflicts’ by Prof V.K.Mehta. He discussed various kinds of conflicts and their resolution process, with the help of role plays. The participants enacted workplace situations, the conflicts faced and how they can be resolved. Post lunch session was on ‘Ethical Behaviour at Workplace’ by Dr Sumesh Raizada. He emphasized on the importance of personal and professional ethics at workplace through few cases related to banking frauds.
In the valedictory session, Dr.Fareed Ahmad appreciated the programme and the resource persons. He expressed his gratitude to the Director and management of JIMS for organizing the programme. Later certificate of participation was given to all the attendees.
