JIMS Rohini Organized CHARITY TO THE GROUND WORKERS

Objective of the Event

The NSS (National Service Scheme) Cell of JIMS Rohini organized a grocery distribution event aimed at supporting the ground workers, specifically security guards, as a gesture of gratitude for their invaluable contribution to the smooth functioning and safety of the institution. The initiative sought to:

• Promote social responsibility among students and staff.
• Recognize and appreciate the efforts of ground workers.
• Provide basic essential items to ease financial burdens.

Detailed Event Report

The event commenced at 2:30 PM in the presence of the NSS faculty coordinator, student volunteers, and participating staff members. The preparation began a week prior, with students involved in planning, collecting donations, and organizing the groceries.

• Inauguration Ceremony:

  The event was inaugurated by the Director of JIMS Rohini, who highlighted the significance of acknowledging the hard work of the institution’s support staff. A brief address emphasized the role of community service and the values it instills in students.

• Distribution Process:
  1. Each security guard was personally invited to the venue.
  2. Pre-packaged grocery kits, containing rice, wheat flour, pulses, cooking oil, sugar, salt, tea, and spices, were distributed.
