TALE AND ACT, a competition for students of PGDM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-RM was
organized and conducted by the Literary and Dramatics Society of PGDM on
December 6, 2024 in the college Auditorium.
After a welcome to the judge, Sehaj Arora from PGDM (2023-25), the rules for the
first round of the competition were announced. Fourteen excited participant teams
with four members each attentively consumed the information shared by the Society
organizers.
The first round (Tale) saw teams at work for 15 minutes trying to weave a story
based on the visual shared, with an element of astonishment. This was followed by
the teams sending a representative to narrate the story. The teams were judged on
the basis of creativity – the degree of imaginativeness and originality of the story and
the inclusion of emotion of amazement –the degree of surprise/shock/astonishment
in the story.
Best five teams graduated to the second round (Re(act)). Here they were challenged
by a video related to the workplace environment. In a preparation time of 15 minutes,
the teams were required to create an act combining the video with the story they had
created in the previous round. They were judged on the basis of creativity – the
degree of imaginativeness in combining the story with the video and expression –
the quality of enactment.
After a show of very interesting performances, Team Wordsmiths (Ayush Jindal,
Aniket Sharma, Pranjal Singh, Ekta Bahuguna from PGDM-IB 2024-26) were
declared the first position holders winning a cash award of Rs. 4000/- while Team
Original Kalakars (Meghali Dubey, Sakshi Jain, Lubhavani Gupta, Radha Kumari
from PGDM 2024-26) bagged the second position winning a cash award of Rs.
2000/-
The event showcased the praiseworthy organizing skills of Riya Nath, Aman Jindal,
Annu Singla, Nikita Malhotra and Saloni Khushi – the office bearers of the Literary
and Dramatics Society.
